Belmont Pumpkin Patch Field Trip 2011

Shane's class took their field trip to Belmont Pumpkin Patch on Monday. I love being there for things like this. It's so funny to watch them interact with each other and revel in the excitement of picking out their pumpkins and playing together. It was a great trip! :)

A Princess Tea Party

...probably not a title you'd expect to read in my blog, in my world surrounded with boys...But, Shane's "girlfriend" Heather turned 5 last week and she had a princess tea party. And, Shane went, and he liked it...ha! He was the only boy in attendance. Heather's mom tried to help him out and invited another little boy, but he didn't come. So, Shane was the man, the only man, among 5 little princess girls. The party was precious, complete with a visit from a "real" princess! All the kids were to dress like their favorite Disney character--so, Shane was Buzz Lightyear, in a room filled with Snow Whites, Belles, and Cinderellas. The food that was prepared was delicious and definitely fit for a tea party. The kids had a great time and the adults loved watching them! Happy Birthday Heather!! :)

State Fair 2011

What better way to spend a nice crisp fall day than at the State Fair of Virginia. That's just what we did on Saturday--we had such a good time, riding all the rides, eating all the good food and checking out all the animals. It was a long day, but a great day!
